Media Library can't find/sort images

Hi,

I moved to WP from Drupal and one of the sites I am running makes it hard to find images uploaded to the server. In Drupal I was using IMCE which had many options to show uploaded files and instead of big thunbnails you can also get a list. You could sort by date or name. Under the built-in image manager there is no such feature and it’s very hard to find appropriate images.

Is there any plugin which integrates with the image upload/feature image option and offer better management of images?

I also upgraded to version 3.7 and now the photos won’t upload to media library. It says it is there, and if I click on edit and I can see it, but it doesn’t post or show when I insert. Deactivated all plug ins and it still didn’t work. Help?
It freezes and never comes out of crunching. Have tried both the multi and browser uploaders.

I am new to forums…. went into my account and can’t seem to find where to begin a new post. Can you direct me?
I only found where I can post to my own blog, not the forum for troubleshooting WP

At the top of every forum – click on the Add New button. Or click here:

@claudiabianca – go to the root of the forum (click the How-To and Troubleshooting link at top). Once that page loads there should be a nice-sized button called “Add New” near the top. Click that and create your new post/issue. We now return to the original issue…

@arnieswap – there are various media management plugins for WordPress. I’d suggest trying a few out and see if there’s any that will either get you close enough to your ideal or actually address your particular issue.

I am hoping this will get me through until I can set up a new WP theme…. so I noticed that none of these plug ins have been tested on 3.7…. should I just wait awhile until they are? Will this help with this uploading problem that began with 3.5 version and finally imploded with 3.7?
I am only uploading images on my web site…a lot of these are about videos.
