    Hi,

I am running WP 3.7 and have been experiencing HTTP Error when we try to upload images. It started happening only a few weeks ago. (even when I was on 3.6). What could be the possible cause?

  • Have you tried deactivating all plugins? There may be a conflict with a plugin somewhere.

It’s also possible that there’s a server configuration problem. Do you manage the server yourself or are you using a hosting company?

Ahh thanks for the mention of plugins. Image Optimizing plugin such as EWWW Image Optimize is causing it. Disabled the plugin and image uploaded fine, enabled the plugin again and it threw error.

Thanks. Seems like need to file a bug with plugin.

Glad it’s working for you now! It might be a good idea to pop over to the plugin developer’s page and inform him of the error.

I have the same exact issue as arnieswap.

I deactivated ALL plugins and tried to upload an image for my article and I get the same exact error as shown here: http://imgur.com/BOaMB8h

This problem started today and one of the forums said it was a compatibility issue with flash and I needed to go ahead and update to 3.7. I updated but it did not fix the issue.

Since it is not a plugin issue. What is the next step?

@kevin.Bowser – please start a new thread – it’s not the same issue if you’re not using the same plugin – his issue WAS that plugin.
