• After upgrading it blew away my .htaccess file in my public_html folder. In my case I would have preferred to have done an uninstall then a fresh install.

“50,000 customers can’t be wrong!” It just didn’t work for us.

Tech support was good, though. Except support incorrectly told me my site’s been down for a week (it wasn’t, he was looking at a corrupt Google cache file), and a moderator challenged me on the fact that my install failed.

Based on a previous version’s log file, our site is getting hammered with all sorts of bad guys. So I guess it’s doing its job.

I’m a bit of a novice though so I guess everyone including me was having a bad day.

Please disregard this persons statements. He is intentionally attempting to slander BPS. This is an unfortunate thing that happens from time to time.

    Hello,

This is Ed from AIT-pro.com the author of the BulletProof Security plugin. I checked with the tech who assisted you and also looked at the emails from you and from her.

Please retract this statement you made below as that statement is not true.

…Except support incorrectly told me my site’s been down for a week (it wasn’t, he was looking at a corrupt Google cache file), and a moderator challenged me on the fact that my install failed.

Also it was brought to my attention by this tech that you claimed you had BPS Pro version when in fact you are using the BPS free version. I also verified that this was true by checking the emails from you. My techs are instructed to continue to assist someone even when something like this happens.

In summary, we understand that when someone is stressed out they may not be themselves and may do things that are uncharacteristic of their normal behavior. Please retract the statement you made above about my support tech as it is not true. Thank you.

PS also retract this statement “50,000 customers can’t be wrong!”
It is also not true. None of my techs stated this to you. This is the statement that was made to you “50,000 confirmed successful upgrades without any problems.”

    Best Regards,
    Ed Alexander
