Add Pagination Genesis Theme Featured Post Widget

    I am building a new WordPress website using Genesis, of course I have child theme. I want to do some customization in the Featured Post Widget, but I cant’t make it happen.

    I want to add a pagination for the featured post of the Featured Post Widget similar to this http://i.imgur.com/w6NbvC5.jpg. Here is the whole modified code.

    One more question, I am doing the code in Genesis core files, I know its not right, how can I tweak the code in my child’s theme?
