Youtube Video not embedding

    I am trying to share a Youtube video and I have tried all the suggestions in the codex help on embedding- however it is not working. The video is embedable and allowed to embed outside of Youtube.

    When I put the Youtube URL of the video, it does not auto embed. It just shows the link.
    If I try to unlink it, it just shows the unhyperlinked url text.
    If I try to embed it using shortcode, nothing shows.

    I thought Youtube was supposed to auto-embed?

    They do. Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    I actually just ended up using a plugin and that worked.
