   Installed wordpress using dreamhost's installer, advanced ...

   http://example.com/wpblog

   Everything seems to be working .. posts post, calendar based nav and search work .. but I can't get my about, links etc pages to work .. when published they 404.

   I think it is looking for the about page at http://example.com/about .. not where it is ..
   http://example.com/wpblog/about

   thoughts?
