I tried to install wordpress and this was what happened
"The installation can not be completed:
- You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain."
I really need help. I am super super super new and super dumb about this whole stuff so can anybody tell me what to do step by step?

was there another index.php there? if so rename or delete

there wasn't any file actually. i asked my friend and he told me to delete all file in public_html

hmm...not sure that is a good idea..dont forget that your .htaccess file is there
