Updraftplus and google drive restore help

    I just found out this plug-in and wanted to test it.
    So i installed it and set it up to backup to Google Drive.
    Then i wanted to see how the restore function work, so i deleted all wordpress files from the server + the database.

    I reinstalled WP, created a new database and installed/set-up the plug-in again.

    What i want to know is if the plug-in can/should see the back up file on my G Drive and restore directly from it.
    Or do i have to download them to my pc and upload them to the updraft folder?

    Hi ChainKiller,

    If you are working from a new installation, you have to download them from Google Drive and upload them into the ‘Restore’ section of the UD settings page. An install of UD only recognises uploads that it uploaded itself. (The feature for it to scan and recognise others might get added in future).
