• I have converted a html theme to WordPress, however when you call the page up in the WordPress dashboard to edit it does,nt load the css. I need the page to be exactly as the front end of the website so the site is clearly editable. Has anyone any ideas how to make the page in the WordPress dashboard look like the front end of the site, is this possible????

    Thanks in advance.

  • When you say you converted an HTML theme to WordPress, how did you do it? Did you create a page and copy in the HTML using the Text editor? How did you copy in the CSS, did you enclose it in style tags? Or are you saying that you need to be able to edit the page in the Visual editor as it appears on the site? I’m not sure that you will get an exact re-creation of the visual appearance using the Visual editor. I always use the Text editor when I’m creating a page or post, and then tweak it by going back & forth between looking at the page in a browser and working with the straight HTML in the text editor. But I’ll use a web debug tool like Chrome’s Development Tools so I minimize the amount of editing in the text editor that I have to do; I make changes interactively with the site and figure out all the edits that I have to do at once.
