• Hello,

I’m using the latest version of WP, BP and BP Docs. I don’t know if is just me or this is normal but, when two or more users edit the same doc there is no notification or something to let know that the doc is being edited by someone else.

If two users will try to access a doc from Buddypress Docs in Dashboard, they one will see that someone is editing the doc (and only if that user is editing the doc from the back-end). However, Editors and/or Authors don’t have access to Buddypress Docs in Dashboard, only Administrator have acceess.

So, is it a bug, is just me or there is no way at this moment to use the WP take over feature from the front-end?

    Regards

The WP takeover feature is pretty new. I haven’t yet had a chance to integrate it into Docs.

However, there is supposed to be a Lock feature. When one user begins editing a Doc, it should lock it for all other users. (When a Doc is locked, logged-in users will see a message to the effect that “This Doc is currently being edited by…” when they are reading that Doc. Is this not happening for you?

That is what I was referring to, that message doesn’t appear and 2 or more users can edit from the front end one doc freely without any warning. Tested with Twenty Thirteen and BuddyPress Default… no “This Doc is currently being edited by…” message.

Also, I just updated WP to 3.7 and now I get 404 when trying to read a doc. Updated the Permalinks, switched to default themes… nothing seems to work. I can edit a doc but when I press Save or try to read a doc I get 404…

    So now, two bugs 😀
