• Hi,

I am not able to see posts in the admin –> Appearance –> Edit Menus.

I can only see pages, categories, links. All the posts in the existing nav menus are seen and working at the front end.

I have tried deactivating all plugins and switching to twentythirteen theme.

    I am using twentytwelvechild theme.

    Kindly guide me.
    Thanks
    Dr. Ashok Koparday

  • In the upper right corner of your screen, when you are on the Menus page, you’ll see a gray tab labeled Screen Options. When you click on it, a dialog drops down. Make sure that the Pages checkbox is marked.

Thank you CrouchingBruin for taking time to reply.
In the Appearance –> Menus I do not see Screen Options.
I see on the top Edit Menus | Manage Locations
    Below Edit Menus are
    Pages
    Links
    Categories
    Posts is missing.

Did you look in the upper right corner of the page? The Screen Options pull-down tab should be right next to the Help tab.

Click here to see where the Screen Options tab is located.

Click here to see the check box for displaying the Posts section.

As far as I know posts cannot be used in menus. There may be ways of achieving it by using a custom query or built in WordPress functions but not through the admin.

Sure you can, I just did it on a test site. All you have to do is follow the instructions that I outlined: Go to the Menu screen, click on the Screen Options tab, select Posts so the Posts section appears, then you can pick whatever post you want to appear as a menu selection.

Here’s one of my test sites. The menu option Table takes you to a post.

    Hi CrouchingBruin,

Your directions are clear. I am not able to see the Screen Options tab.

I am again uploading wp-admin and wp-includes afresh.

    I’ll see now.
    Thanks a lot for being,

    Hi CrouchingBruin,
I just rushed back to thank you.
    I changed the user id.
The previous user id profile had long first name and last name that covered the Screen Options.
    I have also uploaded wp-admin.

Thanks for patience and kind guidance.
