• I seem to have stepped into a bit of a black hole, in terms of WP documentation. Setting aside the fact that I’m trying to use CPTs for this, there seems to be very little documentation on the ability of WordPress to create weekly archives, aside from creating a list of archive links with wp_get_archives.

However, I note that when you do create that list, the links come out like so:
    http://dragonflyeye.net/?m=2013&w=35

With this in mind, I tried to apply the same type of links to my CPT:
    http://dragonflyeye.net/datagrams/?m=2013&w=35

This does not appear to work at all. Where as the first link changes itself to be:
    http://dragonflyeye.net/blog/2013/?w=35

The second doesn’t even attempt to get that far. This would seem to suggest that the URL rewriter is not setup for displaying archives of CPTs in the same fashion as those of posts? This is a bit of a critical feature for my new CPT so I’d like to get this done somehow.

Granted, I can just hard code the template to match my needs. But I’d like to think that not necessary. Even then, I wonder what the most efficient means might be?
