Support » Plugin: Cyclone Slider » Maximum number of slides

  • Hi, like this slider a lot but two queries:

    1. is it possible to increase the maximum number of slides you can add to a slider? My client wants more than 126 which seems to be the maximum. Is it possible to adjust the code somewhere?
    2. is there a quicker way to upload individual slides than one at a time?

    Thanks, Rob

    Whoa! That’s a lot of slides. I have not imposed any limit to the number of slides. Will have to check on that.

    As for #2, I will add a way to do this in the next update.

    Thanks for your quick reply – I’ve added a 127th slide so not sure what the issue was the other day unless an update has helped (my client likes to use the thumbnails under the slider as a mini gallery hence the number of slides!).

    It would certainly be great to have a multiple upload facility and I also look forward to the full screen option which I see is for the future too.

    Hello!

    I can’t add any more slides pass #6?? Is there a size limit.

    Hello everyone,

    @sussexlongman

    1. is it possible to increase the maximum number of slides you can add to a slider? My client wants more than 126 which seems to be the maximum. Is it possible to adjust the code somewhere? — I’ve tested it and it is a PHP issue. Here’s what I did to get around the limit:
    1.) Open up php.ini and find max_input_vars. Change it so that it reads
    max_input_vars = 2000

    2. is there a quicker way to upload individual slides than one at a time? – You can now select multiple images by using ctrl + click in version 2.7.7. Update CS2 to latest version

    1life – no there is no size limit. See my post above about max_input_vars

    Thanks very much kosinix for making it possible to upload multiple slides, a great improvement, best wishes, Rob

    @kosinix,
    I have the Pro version, 2.7.6. Is there a Pro version of the 2.7.7? I am also interested on the functionality to upload several slides at a time via Ctrl+Click.
    Thanks

    @eltarga – It is now delivered via automatic updates where you can upgrade the pro version to 2.7.7.

    Best regards

    @kosinix – Thanks, but perhaps you could be more specific? I do not see any upgrade notification on the plugin area of wp-admin for Cyclone Slider Pro. I also looked for Cyclone Slider Pro on wordpress.org/plugins and there is only mention of the old Slider and of Slider 2.
    Also, it would be more useful for us if you could point us to the 2.7.7 Pro zip file. We have made mods to the magnific popup js calls (to allow for galleries and other bits and pieces) and a straight upgrade from within wordpress, would regress the changes.
    Thanks in advance.

    @eltarga – in your wordpress admin, either click updates or go to the plugins page. WordPress will notify you if there is a newer Cyclone Slider Pro version. Its currently at ver 2.8.0

    As for your mods, please move it to wp-content/cycloneslider folder before upgrading. That should protect your changes from update nukes.

    best regards

    @kosinix – Thanks!

    Hi, I have just upgraded 2.8.1 to 2.8.2 and use the pro version. I also have a case where I need to display about 140 slides, but for some reason can only display about 70.

    In the case I add more than that, it will show a few more or less than 70, and that is whether I add 5 or 70 more.

    I have added max_input_vars = 2000 to php.ini but it did not help.

    Thanks in advance!
