• I would like to add “Older Posts” and “Newer Posts” links at the bottom of the page that allow people to easily click through to the older posts on my blog.

Does anyone know what code I can use to make this happen, as well as where exactly in the .php I should place it?

Thank you in advance for any guidance!!

  • Hi lchalela, you can see the code here, but the problem is that Leaf theme’s home (slider version) isn’t planned for pagination, only the blog version has a default pagination.
So you have to modify much more than adding older and newer posts code.

That’s a big limitation of this theme. I don’t understand that reference to a “blog version”. Is it some option of the theme? I can’t find it.

Sample page here and an user has created here an unofficial tutorial, search for “blog”.
As for the pagination in the default home page, I’ve posted some code here.

Thanks for the unofficial tutorial, I didn’t know of it. And I’ve already saw that other post but I think it’s not the kind of simple pagination I wanted.

I don’t know what you mean with simple or complicated, that’s the leaf pagination: 1,2,3… as it should be a paging with numbers.
If you don’t want numbers, but “older and newer”, like said above add it with WP code, after that template modification.
Or a pagination plugin after that template modification, but in this case I don’t know if it works because I haven’t tested.
The last alternative is to create your own pagination as you like, hiring someone that do that for you.
