Thanks a lot for reaching out about the plugin. When you talk about board and committee members who are editors, are you referring to their role in WordPress?
Right now there are only two roles in WordPress that can use the board management system. Board members, who don’t have permissions to work with the website’s content at all outside the board management tool, and administrators, who obviously have access to everything within the WordPress system.
If the board members are “editors” in WordPress, they won’t be able to use the board management tools unless they’re promoted to administrators or they create another account using a different email address.

Thanks for the reply. As it currently is I would be unable to use it. I have multiple members who are editors/contributors as well as board and/or committee members. Giving them admin access is more trouble than it is worth and re-registering will just confuse many of them.
Any plans to include this feature in the near future?

I have the exact same need, and may be unable to use the plugin also. I would propose changing your roles to be an adjunct to WordPress roles, not a replacement.

Thanks for letting us know you also need this functionality. I’m not sure if you’re a programmer yourself, or are working with a programmer, but you should be able to provide Board Members the same capabilities as Editors by using a combination of the add_cap() method (https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_cap) and the capabilities listed at https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#Editor. That would allow Board Members to also contribute on your website.
