    Hi Mike,

First off I’m a big fan of the new version layout and changes. Much easier to use and understand. Although I am not a fan of the CVIta, the plugin is much improved.

Since moving from a BabyCroc to a Reseller Plan at HostGator, I am now unable to send email to a different domain than the one the site is on. Before there was never an issue. The formm only works now when the the email is the exact same domain as the site. Hostgator checked through and says everything is good.

    Any ideas??
    Cheers

  • This problem is caused by the web host’s spam traps that will sometimes block the message.

    Try this:
Edit the form settings, go to the ‘Basic Settings’ tab
Set the “Email to:” to the address you want the emails sent to.

Set the “Return-path address” to a real email address on the SAME domain as your web site.

Test the form from the front end of the site, but when you test, use a different email than these other two because if you try to send from yourself, to yourself, you can trigger spam traps that will block the message.

    Did that work?

    Thanks Mike,
I tried that and to no avail. Askimet is not-installed either – so its not that. It’s only on the reseller server that its a problem, and HostGator has no idea why. No problems on the other servers.

The only solution I can think of is a spam issue, so I need to disable auto-delete spam on my other server (where the email is going) and test from there.

    Cheers

    Found the issue!

HostGator screwed up my site migrations, so all the email accounts had the old incoming mail settings. They were active and working, just the wrong setttings – so no email voila! Just need to point the old DNS back for now to get it all running. Nothing to do with your plugin!

    Thanx a bunch!
    Cheers
