  • @kat,

    I will look into what Mandrill is and let you know. How do you see them integrating and if you’ve tried already what are the issues.

    There is already a metabox on the post and page authoring pages that allows you to disable posting for that particular page or post. You may need to show it in the Screen Options.

    Hey there – thanks for the quick reply! Mandrill is newer to me, but can replace the default wp-mail function by sending mail using the Mandrill script/app instead. I’m still learning about it, but it looks like you can use it in place of SMTP (?) like G-mail … you use the Mandrill instead.

    I’d love to be able to use it rather than sending mail through the server.

    Thanks again for your quick response (and now I have to go look for the metabox – that one slipped past me!!!)

    ps – you can see the WPMandrill plugin for more info about how that plugin replaces the default WP mailing with Mandrill instead.

    @kat,

    Subscribe2 should work just fine with Mandrill as far as sending emails goes. I’m not sure how any of the additional features of Mandril could be used although the plugin website does mention a filter called mandrill_payload that would seem to be able to alter content immediately prior to sending.
