We are creating a buyers guide for splitboards on this page: http://mtnweekly.com/splitboard-buyers-guide

And wondering if there is any way to make the image stand out when someone hovers over it?

I looked at Hover plugins but they want a second image to use. I would just like this to brighten on hover? Any thoughts

One way is to assign different opacity to link (e.g., .5) and hover (e.g., 1) rules in your style.css

    Tara,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Any idea how we would do that? I am more of a publisher then html guy 🙂

try using a browser inpspection tool to identify the formatting of the links around the images; then add something like a:hover img { opacity: 0.5; } (or any other formatting like background color) to the styles of your theme (via a custom CSS plugin?).

for details, you might need to contact the developer of your theme for support; this forum only supports the themes from http://wordpress.org/themes/
