   Recently install 2.5-RC1. Tried to add a category and this strange error came up: "AJAX is teh b0rked"

   I am able to add categories using a roundabout way, in the Write Post page and clicking Add Category in the box there.

   Wondering if this is broken on anyone else's install or just mine.

   It's happening to me too. I've reported it on the WordPress Trac.

   Thanks, I had a look at the categories.php quickly, but couldn't figure out where the error text was coming from. Might have a closer inspection soon.

   This happens when the ajax call gets back a permission denied error. Most likely cause: Overly restrictive mod_security settings.

   Search for "mod_security" on these forums. Same problem, new error message.

   Works fine in revision 7538 now. Be sure to upgrade to the latest build to fix this problem.
