• I just upgraded to 2.3.3 and installed the new version of akismet. I also installed the new version of wp-stats, and it asked for my API key. OK, I went to wp.com to get it, and it wouldn’t let me log in.

OK, fine. I told it to change my password, and gave it my email… and it gave me a new username (a very long string of gobbledygook). I now realize that I didn’t change my email addy in my profile, and my old email no longer works. I think that’s why it gave me a new username.

So now I have two usernames, and want stats to not only work, but continue on where I left off. Any ideas? Can I merge the two accounts somehow, without knowing the password on my old account?

  • Hey thebadastronomer we meet again! I’d get a hold of the fine folk over at wordpress.com with this query. They should be able to straighten it out.

PS: When are ya going to be on Coast to Coast AM again? Last time was great. 😉
