I have the admin email, but /wp-admin won't recognize it

    Hello, I need help retrieving the admin password.
    I recently did a backup file (xml) from wordpress and changed the password, also, deactivated a “private blog” plugin.

    Today, I went to admin login page, but it didn’t recognize the password.
    I clicked on “lost your password” link and typed in my email (admin email) but it says ERROR: “There is no user registered with that email address.”

    If I check the xml file, I can see that I’m typing in the correct email address for admin.

    What can I do in this situation?
