   Hi,
   I seem to have lost my site and cannot get to the login screen or admin panel at all. The whole site has lost it's css structure and no matter what I do, nothing seems to make any difference.
   I am not sure what to do here. A huge site and not all backed up.
   I may have a minute's silence I think while she sinks to the bottom of the net....

   Mmmh, to me, looks more like it lost its css...

   Can you undo what you did with the new files ?
   Check that the database has the correct site_url and home values ?
   You've still got ftp access, so there is hope !

   Yes it looks like it but the css is there. I cannot get to admin at all. Tried reloading my index and still no success..
   I was only thinking today - I wonder what I would do with my time if I turned my pc off a bit more...Maybe I am going to find out me thinks :)

   Check that the database has the correct site_url and home values ?

   You've got this wierd redirect bug:
   http://www.os42.com/index.php/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2F
   phpmyadmin to check site_url value ?
   and a backup ?

   There's an extra 'index.php' creeping in from somewhere

   shadow even if WP collapses hopefully the data is OK. No need to panic at this stage. How about a fresh WP install just as a test. ? Good luck. :)

   Well a fresh install sounds very relaxing Root but I had so many addons and adjustments I am not sure where to start to be honest.
   A new install would be difficult. Perhaps I will have to in the end, or it might be easier to let it all go and just start new.
   I am kicking myself for not being prepared for this...Live and learn they say but I have been there done that - so I have no excuses this time...

    Hey, guess what I did first thing this morning....
    It has 6 letters and rhymes with crackup.
    BACKUP regularly is the lesson on Sunday for this lil' sinner....
