Just updated to the same nightly version and my themes were untouched. Could this perhaps just be a faulty upgrade?

Hi esmi,
Possibly, but tried a manual upgrade following the faulty one, no change. Will check the filestructure on the server and get back with you.

Sorry esmi, nothing visible missing in folders on the server.
Under Appearance/Themes all theme descriptions are in place, but the images are all blank boxex (except the Twenty Fourteen which is mini square-pattern’d 🙂
Going to Customize also reveals that the css is gone, i.e. there is no theme formatting available on any of the themes, although the css files are present in the file structure.
So, something has happened.
I had edited the wp-config.php to include ‘nb_NO’ language. Have deleted this, retried the update, but still no solution.
Are the themes all still present and correct in wp-content/themes?

Yes, as far as I can confirm by looking at the file structure and number of files.
Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Thirteen folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

esmi,
Done, and no change, ALL templates are still blank
Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

Thanks esmi, but if I am the only user having this issue, I’ll rather uninstall the beta and re-install at a later stage.
