• Is there such a thing as a CSS ‘cheat sheet’ for Twenty Twelve? I have one for Twenty Eleven. I want to be able get rid of some elements and can’t find them in the CSS – for instance the ‘search-box’ etc
Not so easy to create a website as I thought – need to get rid of the bloggy things and can’t without some kind of roadmap?

  • Hi

My suggestion starts with creating something called a “child theme”
A child theme is a theme that as it’s basis in another theme (in the case the “twenty twelve”) and you can add any changes to the css without altering the main theme. The plus part on this is if the theme has an update you won’t loose a thing !

Here’s how you can do it child themes

Thank you for that – I installed a plugin – one-click child theme and it worked well. I am now scouting around for how to get rid of the things I don’t want on my website – like comments, all the goodies in the side bar – and to center the whole page – am watching tutorials etc.

    You’re welcome!
Great to know. If you don’t have any more questions please close this topic.
    Thank you
