Remove ‘.html’ extension?

    Hi

    I noticed that some blogs have ‘.html’ at the end of every permalink ie
    domain.com/article-name.html
    rather than
    domain.com/article-name/
    which is much cleaner
    How do I make sure the ‘.html’ extension is not displayed or required?
    Is this automatic for all WordPress blogs?
