The install make have stopped incomplete for some reason.
Try re-installing

If you do that and still have the problem, troubleshoot it

Re-installing worked for a while. Now I look back and the admin is blank again. I’m not investigating my theme or other plug-ins as this all worked fine before I updated.
You said “I’m not investigating my theme or other plug-ins as this all worked fine before I updated.”
Sorry you are having trouble, but it is your site, not mine. All you need to do is a little troubleshooting to make it show you what the error is.
With that information, the a solution can be found. Then I can help you. Without the information, no cause has been determined yet. If you are not willing to do that much, there is no information to help you.
here is another troubleshooting page
I suggest Turn on WordPress Debugging to see what the error is

That’s putting the onus on me to fix the site broken by the update. It certainly didn’t come across as you offering to work with me.
Meanwhile, my site is down. Every attempt I make to troubleshoot this means installing the plug-in that cripples it in the hopes that X will fix it this time.
What do you suggest? I really wish I had resisted the urge to update.
Like I said, sorry you are having trouble. I have no other reports of this problem you have. I am asking you to enable WordPress Debugging to see what the error is
This page tells how to do that
http://www.fastsecurecontactform.com/troubleshoot-errors-in-wordpress
Without knowing the error, I have no tangible information to help you
I’m not posting that here. Can I email you?
I had the same problems, true with 4.0.8 as well. I had to roll back to the 3.x version. I tried overwriting as well as removing and installing as well.
Are there any PHP or other modules (saw a “pear” call in the error logs) that are required for this? I’m running nginx and php5.
This was the only plugin I was upgrading.
Thx!
hightechdad, please start your own topic.
The problem RickMacMerc reported was caused by a different plugin, not mine. It was Bad Behavior
This topic is resolved.
