   I know people are visiting my site, but the stats say I have had no visitors for months.

   same here. it is still completely blank for me. says nobody has visited

   Are you talking about WordPress.com stats, or stats you are getting from another service like Google Analytics?

   fixed the problem, Go read the FAQ and Troubleshooting part of the plugin page.

   i'm bot seeing much help apart from a bit of code it says to paste in, before the body tag. problem is i don't se the body tag i see a load of php tags??

   i use wordpress.com stats by the way

   Could you please point me there? I couldn't find anything new in the FAQ section http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/faq/

   The wp_footer is of course inserted in the theme.
