If you view the scan through the P3 history page, does it show up properly?
Yes, it does display properly when viewed through the history tab. Also, if I re-load the page through the control panel by clicking the “P3 Plugin Profiler” link under Tools.
When you are prompted to enter a scan name, what name do you choose?
I choose the default name, which appears to be a date stamp and serialization; e.g., the last one was “scan_2013-09-27_0b029a9d”. I click on the “Auto Scan” button at that point.
Now, it appeared at first that removing one plugin may have been implicated, but I have since restored that plugin and it still seems to be doing it.
A quick FTP look at the profile directory shows that the GIF file it wants to open is NOT there (/wp-content/uploads/profiles/body_bg.gif).
Can you replicate this error with all plugins (except P3) disabled and your theme reverted to twentytwelve?
That’s a tough one. I’ve got a live site that’s fairly active. Maybe I can try that in the weeeee hours, but not at the moment. Not sure (famous last words) what other plugin would be preventing/deleting the body_bg.gif image out of that directory. AND, I should note – the plugin worked flawlessly the very first time.
