When I select a text inside a table cell and then move the mouse pointer out of the cell, the text is deselected.

    Here is a screencast: http://www.screenr.com/wbZH

As you can see the problem occurs olny with text inside table.

Disabling Ultimate Tinymce solve the problem.

    Hi,

I just tested this on my test site.. and I am not experiencing the same issue.

So, it leads me to believe it is a plugin conflict.

    1. Let’s first check to see if it is a browser issue. Can you please test across a couple different browsers to see if the issue persists?

    2. If it still happens across multiple browsers… let’s deactivate the “Nextgen Gallery” plugin. Next, manually clear your site cache (you may have to clear it with W3 Total Cache as well).

Do either of these fix the issue?

EDIT: You mention disabling Ultimate Tinymce fixes the issue. If this is the case, then how are you inserting tables without having Ultimate Tinymce active?

    Hi Daniel!
    (sorry for my terrible english)

My problem disappeared after I brought some plugins to the latest version.
Meanwhile, I have to have the plugin NextGEN Gallery in suspicion, caused the problem.
Please upgrade to the latest version of NextGEN Gallery.
    It is actual 2.0.30
    And than, try it again.

    Hi Frank,

So updating to the latest version of NextGen Gallery fixed this issue for you?

The probem occurs also with Firefox (I use Chrome).

I tried to udpate WordPress to 3.6.1 and then update NextGEN Gallery to the latest version (2.0.30) but the problem still occurs (before trying I cleared the cache).

Disabling NextGEN Gallery fixes the issue.

Without Ultimate Tinymce I have to insert tables editing the html code of the page but the person usually modify pages is not a developer.

Edit: I can say that disabling Ultimate Tinymce fixes the issue because I can try to edit the existing tables in the visual editor.

    Hi Josh!

I can not exactly say, what was the reason of this problem.
But I can say, the problem don’t exist any more on my side after an update of some plugins (also NextGEN Gallery).
Unfortunately, I do not know what plugins I have all updated.

In the past (some weeks before this problem) I have had also a problem with Ultimate TinyMCE and NextGEN Gallery in the backbone.
This problem was also fixed after an update from NextGEN Gallery.

So my guesses are assuming that the problems are caused by Nextgen and not from Ultimate TinyMCE.
But I do not really know. It’s just a guess.

    Greetings Frank

I have checked the list of plugins from Daniel and my own installed plugins.
The only plugins we are both used are Ultimate TinyMCE and NextGEN Gallery.

    More I can not say.

    Thank you, both.

Yes, this is a NextGen Gallery issue. It has to do with their editor_plugin.js file used to add the button (and functions) to the tinymce editor.

I have been able to successfully replicate the issue, and have traced it to that file.

I’m still looking for a specific fix in their file. I’ll post back here if I find one. Even better.. hopefully they will find a fix in a future update 🙂

I’m gonna mark this as resolved for now… since there is nothing I can really do from my end.
