It appears that it’s not just IE 10, all versions of IE that I have tried behave like this. This is a problem because over 60% of my visitors are using some form of IE. 🙁
Latest versions of Opera, Firefox, Chrome and Safari seem to work.
I’ve got the same problem on a site I’ve created for Ludlow Running Club
Hello,
The plugin is relying on jquery.simplemodal.1.4.3.min.js to show events.
The javascript has been updated to accomodate IE10.
You can replace the content of js/jquery.simplemodal.1.4.3.min.js with the content of https://github.com/ericmmartin/simplemodal/blob/master/src/jquery.simplemodal.js
UPDATE WORKS, WHY DOESNT WORDPRESS UPDATE YOUR PLUGIN
OTHERWISE PEOPLE THINK YOUR STUFF DOESN’T WORK AND IS JUNK
WHEN IT REALLY DOES WORK AND ITS NICE
I tried this today and it did not work. Can someone check for me on http://www.ohioboutiquevendors.com. I went into the js/jquery.simplemodal. file and cut and paste the info above and it did not work. Any other suggestions?
Okay I just updated the information again. I was told it still is not working.
You still have the wrong javascript.
Okay, can you tell me exactly where I need to go to change the code, please.
You can replace the content of your_site/wp-content/plugins/ajax-event-calendar/js/jquery.simplemodal.1.4.3.min.js with the content of https://github.com/ericmmartin/simplemodal/blob/master/src/jquery.simplemodal.js
Thanks a lot FranceImage. I’ve been really stuck with this problem for a few weeks and your simple to follow update worked a treat first time. Solved all the issues.
Where would we all be without support from people like you.
Cheers
I admit to being quite dense at times but…..
I copied the 716 lines of code and named it
jquery.simplemodal.1.4.3.min.js
removed the original file, replaced with new one and hoped I would see some love from IE.
Not so in my situation…so to make certain I put the calendar all by itself on a page and tried to to get some action with IE…no love. As others have mentioned, works fine in FF, Safari, Chrome, even on a Kindle.

Hi
Do you have a link to share ?
The best way to do is to check in the page produced by your site if the content is right. (View page source, then locate the javascript inclusion and open it from there)
1st thing, thank you for taking the time to help!!!
