Can posts page be set to showcase template in 2011 theme

    All pages on my website including static front page use the default template.Is it possible to use the showcase template for just the posts page (which in my case is ‘portfolio’ page)? I tried setting the portfolio page to ‘showcase template’ and set some posts to sticky, but nothing changed.It still shows up with default template

    To word it more simply- can the Showcase template only be used as the front page in 2011?

    The Showcase template can be used on any static page. Your main posts page, however, is not a static Page, if that helps.
