No Mod_Rewrite Button

    I have recently downloaded WP Super Cache and I wanted to change the settings in the advanced tab to all of the recommended settings. I clicked update status and then a yellow box appeared saying:

    “Rewrite rules must be updated

    The rewrite rules required by this plugin have changed or are missing. Scroll down the Advanced Settings page and click the Update Mod_Rewrite Rules button.“

    I don’t have this button though. I have seen it on a YouTube video so I’m fairly sure of what I am looking for. I have even tried different browsers (Chrome and IE9) to see if it was a browser issue but that wasn’t the problem.

    Any ideas how I get the button so that I can click it?

    – please visit your site’s /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wpsupercache&tab=debug,
    – enable debugging
    – put the correct IP address
    – click save
    – once saved, you’d be presented with the link to the log file.
    – access the file using your preferred method (SSH, SFTP, etc).
    – please post back what you see in it, if you can’t decipher it
