    Linda,

    That home page is using another plugin, I’m guessing something like flexslider-testimonials. Other parts of your website might be using my testimonials widget.

    Hi Michael;
    Your plugin is included with the theme I’m using from themeforest “Circles”, here is the shortcode used <code>[testimonials type="slider2" header="" category="" limit=""]</code> on the home page I took a screenshot of the plugin (which is this one) but no place to include it here, it derives from the testimonials area in the wp admin area “Testimonials” & when going to flexslider in admin panel there are no items there at this point so am not sure where the difference you say would be coming from?

    That’s not a testimonials widget plugin shortcode.

    You need to ask your developer or theme supplier for assistance.

    We are using the testimonials widget on our site and also having trouble with the rotation speed. We’ve tried many different values. It is located here on the right side: http://bluelakecre.com Any ideas ? Thank you !!

    @dustingrice,

    Adjust the rotation speed via the widget options directly. Not the WP Admin > Testimonials > Settings page.

    The reason is that once you create a widget, that widget is independent of the global settings.

    Hi Michael,

    We’re having a similar problem changing the rotation speed.

    I’ve tried changing the setting on this page…

    http://www.audiosupport.co.uk/v3/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=testimonials-widget&page=testimonialswidget_settings

    Is this the widget option page, or the global settings? I’m not sure what the difference is.

    Thanks Michael.

    If you’re using a widget and want to change its settings, then edit the widget via WP Admin > Appearance > Widgets.

    Once you create a widget, WP Admin > Testimonials > Settings, has no effect on it.

    WP Admin > Testimonials > Settings is more for the use of shortcodes throughout your website.

    Thanks Michael. I found the settings as you described and successfully changed them. However, the slides are still rotating too fast. A couple of times the page loaded and showed the first slide for the longer time that I’d set (24s), but each slide after that only stayed up for about 2 or 3s. The same thing seems to happen when I switch tab to view another page and then return to view the page with the slides – the slide currently in view stays up for a long time, but then the subsequent ones don’t.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks again Michael.

    I’ve seen on some browsers that intervals cycle fast. That’s possibly one explanation.

    For the deeper debugging, I recommend resetting all options, deleting current testimonials widgets, then creating widgets over again.

    Thanks Michael. I tried Chrome, Firefox and Safari (all on Mac), and they all have the same problem of rotating too fast. I’ll go for the deeper debugging as you suggested.

    Thanks again.

    Alex,

    You might have to work through https://aihrus.zendesk.com/entries/25119302-How-to-debug-common-issues in case of a plugin conflct via other JavaScript includes.
