   I am just trying to write a simple post, but when I view it online at the home page, all the text has become one long paragraph. I know HTML, and have tried to just cut and past into the "code" section. That doesn't work either.

   Isn't there a simple way to just paste text into the editing box?

   -very frustrating that it is not easier.

   What's your website address?

   It should be as simple as you are doing it. I'm thinking you may have a problem with your theme/css.
