Special characters get messed up in DB backup…

Hi there,

I am moving hosts so I backed up my DB with the plugin and moved it to the new host. Everything worked great but the special characters (like quotes and accents on letters) were converted to weird characters that look horrible.

I found this post and the last comment seemed to fix the problem:

Is there another solution? Is this line in the wp-config.php file needed for anything crucial in WP besides messing up my special characters?
