thank goodness I only installed on one of my blogs so I had the old Adsense Manager to re-upload.

Sorry folks, the wrong version was tagged for release (v3.0 is experimental at the moment). If you visit the download page now v2.5 is put back in it's rightful place as the stable version.
Download it and follow instructions (upgrade to version 3.0 will be supported when it's ready).

I have tried to upgrage to Adsense manager 3.0.11 and it still states that there is a new upgrade available of 3.0.11. In other words it is not upgrading. Why???
It shows in my WP-Plugins as being activated and running (highlited in green) but that there is still an upgrade available. I am using 3.0.3 now which is the one highlited in Green.Second question: on my post I have adsense referral links...one per post. But, in my Blog main page it will show more then 3 adsense refferal links. I have 10 post and it shows referal links on all 10 post on my main Home URL page. Does it not restrict the number to 3 or 4 whatever it is to comply with Google adsense policy???

miom: When you say you're trying to upgrade is that using an upgrade plugin or are you uploading the files onto the server? Let me know and I'll see if I can figure out what is going on.
The number of ads output isn't restricted currently. Although you can stop them being displayed on the front page through the "Show Ads" settings for each unit.
An ad counter/limiter will be in 3.0.12 (should be released this weekend at the latest).

miom: Just out of interest, do you want to be able to configure the limit on the number of ads shown or are you just after a defined limit (to keep within Google T&Cs?)... Just wondering.
I've got the limiting code working just now: Currently it will track and limit the number of Google Ads as a whole (by type, Referral, etc.) in accordance with the Google T&Cs. I can add a further limit if you want to restrict certain ad types individually - e.g. to make sure a given Ad only appears once for instance.
Anyway, as I say, should be finished testing and ready for release first thing this weekend.

answer:Both! I've tried it both ways and it won't upgrade.Another question to you is if I delete the existing file on my server and just reinstall the newest version will I lose all my adsense info I put in at Wordpress..ie my pub code etc.?
I want and need this plugin to limit the number of ads based on Google's T&C's.
Question:When you do have the newest plugin ready (3.0.12); when it does limit the number of ads based on Googles T&C's; if I have 10 post on a page with adsense in each post, when the limiter kicks in and blanks out the Google ads, will there be LARGE blank space in the post it limits?...Or will your plugin tighten up my article so the blank space is not so large? So it looks like a normal article.

miom: If you delete the previous plugin and add the new one the saved settings won't be removed. When you activate the new version you should get a message at the top telling you that the new plugin has been activated and the old settings (from AdSense Manager v2.x) have been upgraded. At this point it also takes a backup of your previous settings so it can roll them back for you if required.
Version 3.0.12 should be coming out on Saturday. Making it work requires a few fairly big changes to code but nothing too difficult - I have the basics working right now - unfortunately I have an exam tomorrow morning so I will be busy cramming tonight. It will automatically limit ads according to the T&Cs.
Where an ad is not shown because of the limit there should be no white space (it literally does not output the ad, rather than showing white space as Google does).
I'll drop a note here when 3.0.12 is ready for download.

Adsense content will not work on my pages but works on my post.
IE...
<---adsense---> will not work on my pages but works on post in the default.But, I can get it to work for a adsense referral link for both pages and post.

miom: Little bug, my bad. Try 3.0.13 (lucky for some). All Ad types work fine now, including default ones.
Don't worry it limits Ad, Link, and Referral units independently (so 3 of each are possible: that's what I understand the Google limits to be? If it's wrong it's easily fixable.)

miom: The problems are to do with a bug in earlier versions where pages/posts view settings weren't defaulted to 'yes' automatically. Just open the Network Defaults and then re-save.
I'll put an back-compatible fix into the next release.
When I replied above I thought you'd downloaded the 3.0.12 (which has the ad-limiting feature you requested!) Have fun.

Quick note: If anyone had problems with 3.0.13 (unlucky for everyone) try 3.0.14. It works a treat...

I installed new adsense mgr 3014 and it seems to be OK but I have two issues.
1)I have adsense in my sidebar via widget. On my home page adsense will not show up in sidebar but it does show up in the rest of the Homepage page. It seems like the page has priorty over the sidebar IN REGARDS TO PULLING ADSENSE, I want priorty on the sidebar for adsense on the home page!. How do I insure that adsense will always show on sidebar on Homepage WITH THE REMAINING 2 ADSENSE ADS SHOWING IN THE PAGE?
2)In regards to adsense T & C's, the new adsense mgr 3014 does seem to work for it...just shows 3 ads....but on the Homepage the rest of the ads have the "BLANK SPACE" IN MY POST WHICH DOSEN'T LOOK TOO GOOD. How do I insure the blank space tightens up on the rest of the post on the homepage (or any other page where it shows more then 3 post in which I have adsense in each) so it looks like a normal post without any "BLANK SPACE"

1) You're right: the posts/pages take priority for displaying ads because that content is filtered first. It's kind of "just the way it is" with WordPress but I'll look into it - it may be possible to scan for "possible ad locations" first and then place them later.In reality this is probably going to come in with the Ad Zones I'm working on (as they are very much about *position* whereas options on individual ads will be about whether to display or not for a given page/visitor/whatever - if that makes sense?). I imagine some kind of pre-scan of positions and prioritisation will solve this. I'll keep you updated.
2) Can you try and download 3.1.1 and see if the problem is still there? If it is, point me at your site and I'll see what's going on: I think it may be WordPress wrapping the Ad tag in paragraph tags which I can stop.

I've downloaded and installed 311. The first 3 adsense links show up nicely on home page but it shows BLANK AIR SPACE for adsense on the 2nd and 3rd post on my home page but then it tightens up the post where they show nicely after the 3rd post. So all my post after the 3rd post are good looking with no air space. It seems to do similiar on Catagories and Archives too.
Also, I always have to delete file in my host account control panel plugins; then redownload it and extract it. It won't just overwrite it in order for it to be activated in the plugins area in WP.

this is when I download one of your new upgrades....ie the 311 upgrade and all other previous upgrades.

miom: Are you using WP-Cache by any chance? I wonder if it's maybe storing the rendered ads and not re-counting when it outputs the page again. It may be a problem with the counting logic so I'll have a look.
What types of ads are you using? AdSense Classic, or the Slot based ones? Or a mix? Thanks.
I'll have a look at why the upgrade isn't working. Not sure what it could be: are you using a plugin to do the upgrade?

sorry about the late reply Ive been busy. I am using wp-cach but it was disabled. I just enabled today!

I forgot to tell you that after the 3 adsense ads, then the next 3 adsense ads is still showing the perverbial "BLANK SPACE" on my front page of my blog. It's not tightening up my articles to look normal.

miom: Is it leaving the blank space with or without WP Cahce? I'd expect it with WP Cache but without it should now be nice and neat.
Are you wrapping the ad units in any HTML? (Using the HTML Before/After options)
Can you tell me your site url (or email me here) and I'll have a look at what's causing it on your site.
