WordPress Install Freezes

I am using MS Web Platform Installer to install WordPress to my local machine (Win7). when it gets to WordPress it freezes and the download doesn’t rise about 0kb/sec however the green bars continually cross the progress bar.

Neither the ‘cancel’ or ‘close’ buttons are repsonsive and when i end the program using ctrl, alt, delete and re open it, it does the same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
