• Anyone else have troubles with TinyMCE Advanced when trying to use SyntaxHighlighter Evolved WHEN you have the Stop Removing Stop removing the <p> and <br /> tags when saving and show them in the HTML editor option turned on?

When I have this option on, and I re-save a post using the Syntax Highlighter shortcode, the code within it gets mangled with <br /> tags all over the place. Having this options is super handy in my experience with the WP HTML editor, so any ideas how these two plugins can be combined?

Note, by re-save, I mean I think I can save the post once, but if I edit and save it again, it’s mangle-town!

Sorry to bump this, but really hoping someone can help with this. SyntaxHighlighter Evolved is the first plugin I’ve seen have troubles with the “Stop Removing Stop removing the <p> and
    tags” option in TinyMCE Advanced.

Incidentally that plugin author recommended to never turn this option on in TinyMCE Advanced. His response in GitHub. What’s the general feeling out there, is it really not recommended to use it?

    Thanks!

Unfortunately there is a conflict between TinyMCE Advanced’s “Stop removing P and BR…” and SyntaxHighlighter Evolved, and it’s not easy to fix. SyntaxHighlighter expects all P and BR to be stripped from the content, but the “Stop removing..” option adds them back.

Will attempt to find a workaround for the next version.
