    Hi. It’s not the full URL, it’s truncated to 30 characters, which is actually shorter than Twitter will display it.

    The only way to render the plain text tweet to HTML that suits you perfectly is to do it yourself. The latest_tweets_render_text filter is there for that purpose.

    Alternatively, solve the problem with CSS.

    Before I upgraded (to WP 3.6 and updated all the plugins), the Twitter widget always showed my Tweets with short urls starting t.co. They didn’t exceed 22 characters and were short enough to fitmy column.

    Sorry, I’m not a developer, so I’m really trying to establish what has changed and how/if I can change it back.

    You can always download older version of the plugin. According to the Changelog the change was introduced in version 1.0.9. Download 1.0.8 here.
