• Hi,

I have a WordPress multisite with MU Domain Mapping on a Linux server running Ngnix. I have mapped a IDN domain name to a site as primary domain in the punycode format. This works fine in Opera, Chrome and Firefox but with Internet Explorer it does not? IE does not seem to receive domain name correctly from Wordpess/MU Domain Mapping I guess? Because when I visit the mapped IDN domain in IE it comes to the registration site for a new domain as it didnt match the domain I entered to any mapped domain. You can see in the URL for the registration page you come to that it has interpreted the domain wrong and because of that couldnt match the domain and your therefore sent to the registration page for a new domain. IE has somehow interpreted the “non standard” character in the domain as ö for example instead of working with it in punycode format, i guess?

If anyone have any ideas about this, it would be much appreciated! I have tried googling this without any luck 🙁

Hope you understand what I mean and if something is unclear please dont hesitate to ask. Thanks in advance!
