   Hello. I have to overwrite my theme because there is a bug in it and there is a new version but I have made so many edits to the old version that I cannot just overwrite.

   I digress. I have installed xampp but I cannot get the Apache to start. I am running ZoneAlarm, PeerGuardian, Avast and Webdrive. I can't seem to see port 80 with online checkers.

   Suggestions tips? I had xampp on another computer and uninstalled it I can't remember why I think it was because I could never connect.

   There are 2 things that bother me in your post and make to not understand it:
   1. the "remote" tag
   2. reference to "online" whatever.

   XAMPP is to have local installation. Even in this moment my XAMPP is running but you will never see it, because it is "localhost" on my machine.
   So, what is it exactly you are trying to do?
