Is there a way i can strip category base from my urls? i do not want to use a plugin tho?. is there a setting in wp that can achieve this please

url is controlled in permalink. where if you select just post name then lit should be ok

i have selected post name but it still shows the category base.

is it possible to show a post without it being in a category?

What about WP No Category Base plugin ? Other solutions involve changing the WP core files and i wouldn’t recommend that.

if you select some other permalink then does the url change like date month? if no then try deleting the htaccess file and let wp create another one
