Youtube Videos aren't showing when I view blog post on mobile phone

    Hi, I recently started using the Twenty Thirteen theme and when I use Youtube’s embed code for videos, the videos show fine when I look at the site from my desktop. The problem is when I view the blog from my mobile phone; there’s a blank space where the videos should be.

    I couldn’t find this topic on this forum, so I’m not sure if this is a known issue. Am I not supposed to be using Youtube’s embed code when I want to add a video to my post? Is there something I’m doing wrong?

    I suspect the issue has more to do with your smartphone & its ability to show these videos than WordPress. Have you reviewed Embed for a better way of embedding videos?

    I’m able to view other youtube video on my iphone (on other sites) and if the videos aren’t available to be viewed on my phone, then at least, there will be a youtube square in the video location. I’m not even showing a video square on my blog when I view it on my phone.

    I’m not sure what you mean by “Have you reviewed Embed for a better way of embedding videos”. Is there another way to embed youtube videos on a website?

    Sorry – typo. Try Embeds.

    That worked! All I needed to do was enter the video URL into the post and the video shows up fine on my blog post.
