@drunkfox –
I tested the Permalink setting you showed above and it works fine on my test sites. What are you seeing with the thumbnails that is not correct?
– Cais.
I update again to the 2.0.21, just to let you see.
Please have a look on this page:

and try to change the thumbnails to Slideshow.
Sorry for my bad English 🙂
Unfortunately, I also bought the Pro versionof NextGen Gallery two months ago…
Try to update your permalinks settings. Simply click on save button, and let WP update .htaccess.
I tryed but doesn’t work 🙁
@drunkfox – If I’m understanding you correctly the URL provided is not showing the slideshow when you click on its link.
It is working perfectly fine and as I would expect it to … its a bit slow on the first load but otherwise the slideshow (and lightbox effects) are working correctly.
Let us know if that is still not the case …
– Cais.
I’ve seen the issue the other day, actually wasn’t working, but now works and I think was a permalink issue, maybe he didn’t seen immediately right because of cache.
Hi, thanks for your reply.
It is not working: you saw that it work because I downgrade again to version 1.9.13.
Yesterday I spend a lot of time trying to solve the permalink issue, but not success.
@photocrati – You understand correctly: when I click on the “Slideshow” link I have the following messge:
Not Found
The requested URL /…/…/…/nggallery/slideshow was not found on this server.
I don’t know why, but my custom 404 page doesn’t open, instead I see the above message.
Also, if you click on the link of the 2 (next) page there is the same error.
I hope you have time to have a look again:
right now, I update NGG to the last version.
WP Supercache is deactivate.
You can see the issue here:
http://www.guidedolomiti.com/news/escursioni-trekking/salita-monte-fuji/3823
I think that if you delete Supercache you’ll solve your issue.
I delete WP Supercache, but doesn’t help…
Have you followed this?
Uhmmm I don’t think…
Why you don’t think? Yes, I did the right way to uninstall!
OK, and have you tried to update your .htaccess/permalink again now?
I did, but still doesn’t work.
With the default permalink there aren’t problems…
Ok, no answers… I downgrade again to 1.19.13 and I wait some news.
As I said, unfortunately I bought the Pro version of NextGen Gallery also…
