I have a client who gets “You already have too many comments in moderation. Please wait until your existing comments have been approved before attempting to leave more comments” when someone tries to leave a comment. When I deactivate GASP I can leave comments. When I try updating it’s giving an error that the old plugin can’t be deleted. The version of GASP is 1.5 that is currently on the site.

Thanks RedofM3 and Andy for the quick replies. Changing the setting worked. Hopefully your fix will allow for the update once you issue it.
    Thanks again,
    Mike

I’ve updated and so far I’ve had no repeat of the problem. Thanks, Andy.

Is the Settings change still necessay RedofM3? I can’t see where to put that?

(Before the plugin was updated I found deleted the spam, optimizing the database and trashing cache helped with this issue. )

Thank you Andy for the quick update to ver 1.5.2. Not sure if this is related but the issue with not being able to update also came up on another client’s site. Looking at both sites they had version 1.5 and never updated to 1.5.1. I’m having to go into the host’s file manager to remove the plugin rather than from the WP admin panel.

Rob, I have mine set at three. My bots go through three comments in less than an hour. This really helps if you have users who are absent and forget their login information. They can leave a ton of comments in regular moderation and still be able to comment.

Look for it under Heuristics, second line.

version 1.5.2 appears to fix the issues that users were reporting

    Hi

Some users on a site I manage are still reporting that they can’t comment and receive a message that they have too many comments in moderation.

I updated the plugin to 1.5.2. 5 days ago.
