I think if you mean that you do want to be indexed, go to Settings, then Reading. The last one is called “Search engine visibility”. Make sure that it is unchecked, then save.
If it is checked, that’s what generates <meta name='robots' content='noindex,nofollow' />
.
Try changing that, dump the cache, and you should see the change.
Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?
After deactivating all plugins and changing theme to twenty thirteen, the code (<meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex, nofollow’ />) has been disappeared. So, is it due to genesis framework or the plugins ?
Ok… I tried to activate plugin one by one and the noindex code shows when w3total cache plugin is activated. So, Should I remove w3total cache ? I think, I have to.. Thank you all for helping me.. Some more suggestions will be appreciable.
You need to dump or empty the cache. It has cached the original setting. After activating it, there’s usually a tab at the top of the screen that says “Performance”. Hover over that and click on “Empty all caches”.
Thank You keyalea. After emptying all caches, it is not showing the error <meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex, nofollow’ />. I hope now Google will index my website.
