insert & demo no longer work

Insert and demo buttons no longer work.

Insert makes the window flash or something, don’t know how to describe it, but it doesn’t insert the code.

Demo opens to a black page with a white rectangle that says “no preview”.

If I add the widget to the container and type the shortcode, that works, but I can’t remember all the codes, and at this moment I am trying to remember the code for the spacer. Can you please tell me?
