There’s a syntax error somewhere in your theme’s style.css file. Why were you editing the parent theme’s files?
If you are in fact editing the parent theme’s files, you will come across several issues. You should create a child theme instead: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
What parent theme files? I was changing the style.css file. I have spotted an error here: http://s21.postimg.org/fi08dyign/code_error.jpg I know where it is and know how to fix it but don’t know what file to now change.

An error is on 868 of the style.css file, as there is no closing bracket for the style preceding that line.

Which files have you modified, just the style.css file?
Thanks Andrew. Just sorted the problem. I must of forgot to put the closing bracket in then.
