you can specify a custom post type in the feed to post admin page..there is an entry for this.
I’m not seeing custom post type as an option — there’s “Default status of posts” and “Default post format.”
Am I missing something, or is is possible that another plugin has restricted the display of this option on the RSS Multi-importer admin page?

ah…thought I added that in an earlier version…will add this to the next update (later this week).

now I recall, this capability is available in the beta version of the plugin (the next major update). If you’d like to try it let me know (several people have already been using it in production, so it’s pretty solid now).

ok..Here you go…if you want to preserve the feeds you have in the prior version, watch this video for how to comment out the uninstall file before deleting the current version (make sure you delete the current version before uploading this one).

So far so good — I’ll return with any issues we run into as we test the system this week.
The beta version is great , but it seems to assume that if you have ONE custom post type, that you don’t have any others, standard OR custom. I only have a few few feeds that need custom post types – how can I still use all of the other options the importer offers?
Suggestion: It would be great if we could indicate post type by RSS FEED, as opposed to making it a global setting for the plugin.

This thread is 6 months old. Just wondering if there is an update to the custom post type feature in Stable version or an updated Beta version since the one you posted in this thread? Have a RSS into custom content type scenario I’m trying to solve and would REALLY love this feature. 🙂
