Moved to a LiquidWeb VPS server. Problems!

    Hi, I have a 3.6.x wordpress site. It has around 8000 posts, for which I had to move from my old shared hosting to this VPS hosting of 1GB RAM.

    Noe after installation, my plugin updates dont work or just gets stuck.

    It remains on UPDATING STEP1/1 page and doesnt proceed with the plugin updated success message.

    Why is that ?

    Is that some kind of php mis configuration ?
    How do we debug and fix it ?

    Have you tried installing plugins manually: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

    While one can indeed install plugins manually, the thing is if the plugins were updating fine on the previous server and now they are not, it sounds like a server configuration issue. Perhaps your host can assist with this.

    You mention you went from shared to VPS; this could then very well be the case as I too had PHP and Apache config issues when I went to my VPS from shared.
